Youth of the Year
Kim Mason says that when she came to the Flatbush Clubhouse nine years ago she was shy, non-communicative and didn't have many friends. But today, you'll find that Kim, now a freshman at St. John's University, not only knows everyone at the club by name but is known by them.
Now an employee of the club, Kim feels that her life has come full circle and she takes great joy in knowing that she is a role model for the next generation of club members. She takes that responsibility seriously and is committed to both her school work and her work at the club. "The club is important to me because I feel it molds young individuals into independent and talented young men and women."
